I'm working hard at sticking to the 4HB diet, including consumption of slow carbs and eating within 30 minutes of waking. I've also started the Early To Rise 30-day challenge.

So it figures that I set my alarm for 5:30am, go to bed with plenty of time to get 8 hours of sleep, and then wake in a panic when my husband gets home from work at 730am (the time I'm supposed to leave for work). Apparently my phone never went into the screen lock mode, so when my alarm "went off" at 530, the screen was touching something and it just snoozed, and snoozed, and snoozed, indefinitely. So I had to rush to get ready and leave and drive to work, and I blew not only the 'wake up early' part, but also the 'eat within 30 minutes of waking'.

But there's a light at the end of the tunnel. I had a Chipotle salad bowl for lunch today (one of the few 'fast food' slow carb meals), which was delicious, as always. The difference this time, though, was that I only ate half of it and was fully satisfied! Normally I load it up with rice and cheese and sour cream too, and devour the entire thing. The fact that I skipped those goodies and was full only halfway through the salad made me very happy!

Baby steps :)
