Greetings Buddies!

Things have been a "rat race" lately but starting to settle down. Today the food was all "on the road" so I did what I could but consumed many carbs again!

The carb monster is a challenge but tomorrow is another day to try again!

We leave for our trip to visit my husband's family this Wednesday - thankfully it will be a short trip so I hope to control the carb cravings!

I agree that on the road & for me even anytime I'm out of my normal routine, it's a challenge. But as Heather suggested, packing healthy snacks helps. I found recently too having spent time with my DH's family that eating at someone else's home is much more challenging than going out to restaurants where now you usually have healthy choices. When I'm home & we're invited to someone's home for dinner, I'll offer to bring a dish or two that I know I can have. But when you're traveling & eating at someone's home, sometimes that's not possible. I don't know about your DH's family, but with mine even though they know how I eat, they either don't get it or don't care to accommodate me. Fight the nasty carb monster. I know easier said then done. However once the rat race is over you can settle all down and find your rythm ! Have a safe trip!

Sometimes its best to just maintain than to stress over losing. It will all be easier when you vacation time is done.

Good luck. Anyway, I didn't mean YOUR best friend, but one's best friend, really my best friend is salad. Have a wonderful time. Definitely will be easier when vacation is over.
