Feeling extremely down about gaining weight, but I have a feeling it is due to the oatmeal cookies I made. They were just so good I couldn't help myself. Time to get active and lose these pounds. Ugh bad morning.
115.4 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 15.4 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

Tell me about it! I was an avid baker, and my kids are begging for cookies. Can't have them in the house, or I'll over-indulge. If I'm going to bake, I have to have a plan: bake, give the kids their cookies, have ONLY 2 myself, and ship the rest out immediately. Neighbors, friends, students -- whoever will take them. If they're in the house, I'm toast (or cookies, since they say you are what you eat)! Don't beat yourself up over this -- it's one event, and it's avoidable. We can do this!

Thank you! I'm not the only one. See I just get bored and cooking can work up a sweat so I figure it's good exercise right? That is until I eat nearly all that I bake. My dad has celiac disease and can't eat anything I bake, and my mom is a nibbler, so that leaves me, my boyfriend, and his family. However if I don't have a baked treat in the house I tend to buy more snack foods when I go grocery shopping because I'm wanting a treat and I figure at least if I make the treats they aren't packed full of preservatives, dyes, and other chemicals. And yes we can do this!

If you want something to nibble on in the house, check out my Psyllium Bar recipe in my cookbook. They're sweet enough and big enough to satisfy, and it's best to have an 8oz drink with them, so that will full you up too! I'm baking more today!
