Sunday's numbers:
Steps-6832 Slim in 6-none Walk-none Pilates-none
We had a good time with my baby sis and her family last night. They came over and we bbq'd some pork steaks, made some cabbage in foil packets on the charcoal pit and some jalepeno poppers on the gas grill. We also had salad and deviled eggs. All in all a nice evening. We even lit the bonfire pit, and the kids toasted some giant Campfire marshmallows for dessert. Then we farkled for a while and I won. A very fun evening!
Steps-10,327 Walk-2 miles @ 4mph Slim in 6-Ramp It Up Pilates-Total Body with resistance bands Lower Body with resistance bands Flexibility with resistance bands
Today was another beautiful fall day! The sun was shining, the sky was clear blue, a very slight breeze, and about 65 degrees! We worked on getting more of the downed trees cut up and burned. Had 2 big piles burning at once!! I got all my exercise in and even added another Pilates routine, Total Flexibility. I also changed from the Pilates Upper Body workout to the Pilates Lower Body workout since I am doing the Slim in 6, Ramp It Up routine and it has a great upper body segment with resistance bands. I may add the Pilates Upper Body back in, but I am for sure going to continue the Lower Body and the Flexibility with the Total Body. This means that I will be doing 48 minutes of Si6, 30 mintues of walking, and 30 minutes of Pilates. Not too shabby for a 51 year old woman who never exercised a day in her life (with the exception of the forced exercise in PE class, also known as torture). And you know what, I think I like it. DH started walking again on his treadmill tonight. He used to walk 2 miles a day on it, everyday. I am proud of him for starting again!
Hope that you all had a wonderful, beautiful day!

Thanks, Lisa. I really enjoy it when it's OVER! lol And hubby used to walk on his treadmill everyday, then he developed gout, and was unable to walk, and kind of fell off. But now he is back at it again, and I am proud of him! And the firepit was wonderful. Hope your week is super. And thanks!

You two are quite an inspiration to me. All that exercising you two are doing is wonderful, but you are tiring me all out just reading about it all. You are quite a team. Thank God that darn stall is over for you and the scales are moving again. You sure do desserve it. You always work so hard to meet your goals for the day. TOTAL INSPIRATION!!!! I wish there was a pill that I could take to get inspired to do all that I know I need to do. There just isn't such a thing, so that is why I need to keep reading all about what you have accomplished and are now liking to exercise. Keep up the great work Stef. You desserve it!!!!!

Cathy, thanks. I'm pretty sure that we all "enjoy it when it's over", perhaps with the exception of Redwinelover! lol And we did have a great get together, but my sis had hurt her back during the day, and so she wasn't quite up to par. And the hubby has always had more perseverance than I have. I am so glad that he started again.

Laurie, when I first started exercising I had to MAKE myself do it. I still do, but it isn't as difficult as it was at first. I am so glad that dh has started his walking again, it is so important for his health, since he can't do the things that men typically do for exercise. I am glad my stall is over, but I don't know how much weight I lost this week, after the tortilla fiasco. I am so hypersensitive to the carbs, that it worries me that I may have started myself on another stall. We shall see tomorrow. I did peek yesterday and I was up 2 pounds, so who knows. My rings were really tight, so perhaps it was just water. I won't weigh agin until tomorrow. Laurie, you deserve to feel great also. Just keep using your Leslie Sansone DVD's, and go from there. When I first started exercising, I only walked. I didn't add any other exercises for over 4 months. So just keep doing what you can!

Hi Ctlss that is really great that you're going for all those exercises. Is it wrong that in school I took an extra class called weight training? Lol we had to do long distance running and weights and I actually enjoyed it. I think I was crazy back then or something :) You'll be to your goal before you know it! You're going to have to post some new pics soon!

Thanks, K. I was always really, really good at.....walking!! lol I loved the movie "Walk, Don't Run" with Timothy Hutton and Cary Grant, and from that I learned the proper technique for speed walking and I would speed walk around that track, and the kids would snicker and the teacher's would say, "That is the right way to do it." lol And yes, it is never too late to satrt, and I am living proof of that!!
