Ms Elizabeth's Journal, 09 July 2013

It's our wedding anniversary today so I'm trying to keep meals light for our date tonight. We have a date! We got a sitter for the cows. I'm hoping we have a sitter for little man, still waiting to hear back from her. And.. we have no clue what we're going to do! lol

Last night I exercised. I actually got on this thing called an eliptical and I programmed a workout and I stayed on the thing for the whole freakin thing. My butt and thighs were feeling the burn but I stayed on. My inner fat chick kept trying to talk me off but I stayed on. Even when hubby came in to see what that strange noise was.. I stayed on. I wonder what the strange noise was though... was it the eliptical or me breathing heavy? Lord only knows what he was thinking was going on in the bedroom. The thing that gets me is.. I'm active. I squat, I carry pails, I lug around hay bales... the eliptical still kicked my butt. The other fail... I had to stay up till 11 to get the workout in after lil man went to bed.. well that and to do dishes and laundry. Then lil man gets up at 5:00am. Hellllllloooo coffeee. When does that whole extra energy from the workout kick in?

In other exciting news.. I cannot be a runner. I cannot jog. I will never be one of those spandex people that the dogs are always barking at as they run past the farm. Since the 9 yr old is away we are keeping lil man entertained with cheesy poofs while we milk cows. Well we ran out.. OMG he melted. So I ran to the house to get more cheesy poofs. They're gerber.. stop judging me. Things jiggled. Lots of things jiggled. Boobs popped out of bras, it gave me a wedgy. I'm pretty sure butt cheeks were clapping! I am not a runner.. I will not be a runner. At least.. not anytime soon. Ah who am I kidding? Even when things shrink they will be saggy and next thing you know more than just the butt cheeks will be clapping.

My hubby is so lucky to have a wifey like me.

Happy Anniversary!! Have fun! Good job getting the exercise in! I workout in the basement so my hubby can't hear my heavy breathing. I know what you mean about the running too. My thighs are what slap together, after having kids and gaining weight they've just never firmed up the same as they used to be. You need is a good sports bra that holds everything in, but what do I know, I don't have much to hold in. :)

Happy Anniversary and welcome to the non-runner club; I thought I was the only one. Better take care of that jiggly stuff now though or you'll end up like me... you know that sound boys make with their hand and armpit? I do that when I flop my arm .. without the extra hand. I run in a sleeveless shirt and it sounds like a standing ovation.

Don't forget your card for the hubby lol! If it wasn't dance AND karate tonight I'd take that lil cutie! If you come to the Cuse I still can! Anywho... HAPPY ANNIVERSARY and hope you have many many more!

No matter how long (months) I did the elliptical it still kicked my butt. It is a great workout. I don't judge, the snacks they make for the little ones now a days is amazing and they are all nutritional. Have you seen the yogurt drops? My grandson loves them. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to you both.

He liked the yogurt drops for a while. It's nothing like the cheesy puffs though. They're like crack. He can hear the container two rooms over and he makes a run for it. It's a lil scary.

Happy anniversary!! Great job on the elliptical - I'm with Diane, I never thought I would be a runner either, I hated it!! Look on the bright side, if you start running more, you don't need anybody with you to cheer you on, your booty will do all the clapping you need! :)
