I expected a large weight loss. I weighed at 5:00 a.m. and showed a gain of 6 pounds. I re-weighed at 3:00 p.m. and showed only a gain of 3 pounds. Why?

This is SO frustrating, and I know how you feel! The explaination could be several things. If you had recently eatin, gone to the bathroom, exersized, drank alot of liquids, have differnt clothes on ect ect..it never really seems to make sence. But, for me the best way to avoid the aggrivation is to stay away from the scale. I weigh in once a week and thats what I go by. You will drive yourself insaine if you step on the scale several times a day and see the a different number ever time. If you know you had done well each week it should all fall into place at your weekly weigh in.

could also be dehydration. Weight fluctuates all day. Just pick one weigh in time and keep it as your "official" weigh in. Same time, same clothes, same scale, same day is best to gauge weight loss accuracy.
