It's the fourth of July here in the states and oh my! For me it means family cookouts today, and over the weekend. Going to stick to my guns and reasonable portion sizes! Got to get in some strength training with kettle bells today and I should be good to go. Good luck to everyone else facing temptation today!

I hope you kept to the plan. I did not. We had so many sweets and I just gave in to them all. Today is a new day for me to do better.

That's a good attitude to have! I did well, but my grandmas cookout was at like four so we ate early. I had some ribs and pie and although I stayed in a reasonable calorie consumption, I was starving by 8. And as it turns out ribs and pie are very calorie dense lol, so I only got to eat a little bit in exchange for big calories. I got through it with some low fat popcorn, my secret weapon when I'm hungry. 15 calories per cup, can't beat it. Don't stress yourself on the sweets, we are human it happens. I am a food lover, sometimes it's an all out war with myself. I just read your journal entry when the notification of your comment popped up. I think you're doing very well, keep your chin up! Every day that we keep moving forward despite our set backs is a big win. Have a great weekend!!
