Lot of walking and activity today. I am beat! Just wanted to come here and say that it is annoying to be at weight stasis so quickly (1 month) of my new lifestyle. Just have to keep up my motivation and remind myself I am gaining more muscle. Overall, I do look like I lost weight and clothes are fitting better. Just no weight loss.

Good idea. I will do that. I also feel like snacking like crazy today. I did eat ~1500 calories total and with exercise, I am at about 1000 calorie deficit today. Chocolate...is the key craving :P May make some chocolate milk later.

Your doing really well....you've lost nearly 10lb in a month - that's really good:) Your loosing on average 2.5lb a week - and your clothes are fitting better. You don't want to loose too much all at once because there's a higher possibility of putting it back on - just remember your changing your lifestyle and it will take time but you'll be soo pleased when you look back on this! I had a mega craving for Ben & Jerrys the other night I denied myself but I told a friend and she said I should have had just a little bit to satisfy my craving and my body would have had the hit it was looking for - now I don't now whether this is true - I'm not a nutritionist!

Thanks for the support (I can't tell you how much I appreciate your message, it makes me feel like I have support from those who know what I am going through). My husband offers a lot of support and even does the portion sizes etc (actually prefers it) but he requires more calories than I do lol and does eat what he wants (although he now knows the calories/sugar/fat content better now and doesn't go overboard) I have a medical background and I am using that knowledge for my weight loss regimen. It is one thing to know the physiology of what is going on with my body and another to keep motivated and keep the hormones/emotions in check. I find it is much easier to talk it out here. That said, your friend gave you excellent advice (Having a little to satisfy your craving). Many diets fail (which is why I am not on a diet) because the main task is to deny yourself foods you would normally eat (and love). When you are denied something, you immediately crave/want it. So when you indulge, it is harder to stop. After posting the previous post, I did go and have some Reese's Pieces (chocolate and peanut butter...ahhhh). I actually just put out 10 pieces because I wasn't hungry, just wanted chocolate and sweetness. I ate them slowly and made it last and it was enough to get rid of the craving. Win! I don't deny myself any foods (sometimes reading the labels is enough for me to loss my appetite for some foods lol) but I do budget my calories and make sure what I eat is well balanced. :
