I did it! I set my alarm for 7:45 this morning and got my arse to the gym! Now it's a matter of regaining my stamina, as the last two times I've gone I was unable to make it more than halfway through the normal 33 minutes (to be fair, I don't think I've done a gym hit in at least two consecutive weeks due to kickball practice at work taking its place). I'm trying to get mad, trying to stay honest and hold myself accountable (read as: recording everything I ingest, whether I'm misbehaving or not).

The plan for the rest of the week is to hit the gym again tomorrow morning, play some DDR on the 4th of July, and potentially some more DDR over the weekend. I haven't decided yet whether or not I'll be trying for the gym again Friday morning, we'll wait and see how the body's feeling. Part of the reason my workout this morning was short was due to a pulling in my left ankle, and a dull pain in my knee. I'm always scared to push through that pain and continue with a work out for fear of further damage.

I've also gone and applied for overtime at work this coming Friday as it's double time and a half holiday pay, and Weds-Fri next week as the boyfriend will be out of town and I'll have no one but the cat to come home to. I'm not sure how the OT next week will affect my workouts, as I won't be getting home til after 10PM....if I can manage to eat dinner and shower, in bed by 12 at the latest, I might be able to swing enough energy in the morning for it. I'll let you know how it goes.

Side note: Attack on Titan has got to be one of the most bad ass, brutal anime series I've seen in a long time, comparable to Puella Madoka Magica and Akira. Definitely worth checking out.
