Stopped taking statin medication for cholesterol a few months ago and have been eating more regular meals with meat and some dairy while waiting for my upper legs and hip joints to heal and build back up from damage due to the muscle breakdown caused by the statin drug. I am almost pain free and will begin to phase out most of the meat and interestingly some of the grains that tend to lead to water retention.

Will use quinoa and potatoes for most of my energy needs while filling in with a variety of vegetables and some fruit. Small amounts of meat and fish on occasion if all goes well. I find that I can add or drop 5 pounds easily over a 2 day period just by what I eat and not the caloric intake.
225.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 40.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
on diet Raw, whole foods, high fiber, plant-based foods   gaining 0.5 lb a week
