Trying to be good about carbs,but they add up so FAST!! Yesterday was 50 something grams. How did that happen?

Eating white sugar, kettle corn (which also contains sugar, and popcorn which usually is avoided on Atkins), deli coleslaw (which usually contains sugar), and drinking your vegetables instead of actually eating them will all add up to way too many carbs way too quickly. You're also not consuming enough veggies, it seems--12-15 carbs a day out of the initial 20 carbs should be from veggies on the induction allowed list, mainly leafy green ones, if possible. If I may ask...have you read the Atkins book? My opinion 2002 edition of Dr Atkin's New Diet Revolution is the best one. For your health and success on this way of eating please pick up a copy or at least study the Atkins website thoroughly!

Oh my gosh, I know!!! So this afternoon, I drank a cup of coffee without sugar, first time, ever. The good thing is, it wasn't that bad. I made a grocery list with the Atkins veggie list. I'm going this afternoon. I have two young sons, 6 and 11, they are carb consumers on an epic level. So I am surrounded by Poptarts, chips, cereal, ice cream, ect. ect. Just whining, I can do this.
