I use the Atkins diet. I love meat and veggie's and I love both. It took some time to get used to cooking with out potato's in every meal ( I love my carbs too) lol But while I was on it I lost 15 lbs in a couple of month's. Of course the winter didn't help and I gained it back. But I am in the same boat you are. I am more determined to lose this weight. I have realized that it wont go away on it's own and I need to change that. Today was the first day I started to walk again I even ran a bit. And I feel great (I just now hope I can sleep lol) I feel like I could go running (but my feet are telling me hell no) :) I wish the best for you in whatever diet you chose.
