Maintaining pretty well during the week. BG fluctuations due to morning rise by the liver are the biggest hurdle in excellent control. Hard to come up with a perfect insulin basal pattern when so much variability in the fasting blood sugars. Since fat burning is so dependent on insulin levels, it is difficult to keep in ketosis.

Tried an Atkins Advantage Meal Bar yesterday and got a much bigger rise in blood sugar than the "net" grams of carbs advertized on the label suggests. I'll try it again under more controlled conditions (ie: no insulin or food for 5 hrs prior).
186.0 lb Lost so far: 68.0 lb.    Still to go: 2.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.
