I guess I weighed in at 188 or more 3.5Wks ago. I felt i stayed as close as i could to the Paleo diet as directed. Started off pretty good cutting out carbs and sweets. Just went cold turkey. To my surprise, it went well and still is. But as time went on for those last 3.5wks. I did not lose nothing. Very discouraging. Especially when you make evry effort to cut out the majority for carbs and sweets. I started To become very emotional about it. My efforts of Walking a lot and had worked my way up to 3-4miles. At least 2-3x a week or ride my bike 15mins or less because my muscles could not tolerate it. To get on the scale and see no improvement was devastating. I did snack on a couple of mixed nuts and pig skins. But didn't think That this would be a big deal. After all, I stopped eating on any carbs and cut out all sweets. My awesome husband started to do more research of what else could be done or what other programs would be suitable for me. You see, i started to get inspired by him. He was interested in getting healthy for the first time in 15years and on the Paleo diet he lost quite a bit in 4months, -45lbs. So i wanted to encourage him by joining with him in getting healthy again. So what made me continue the Paleo diet? My husband said try this one more month and lets change up your eating routine. When I started to get hungry before lunch or dinner. I would eat 1-2tbsp of cream cheese. My husband chooses to eat 2tbsp of organic butter. This made me not want to snack and wait for true hunger to come and it worked. I had my lunch around 12:15pm one day snd by 4:30ish i started to get hungry so i had my 2tbsp of cream cheese. And my hungery went away right away until 7:15pm that night. When i got off work i still had a lot of energy to walk off so that's what i did. I walked home in my uniform on a 3mile walk for an 1 hour 15min. Mind you the last time I ate was 12:15pm. And i felt great. No headaches like i typically would have or been a grumpy bug. This was a true testimony of feeling good. I haven't felt like that in years. To me now with this experience is worth staying on it for the health part. The fringe benefits is now for me, losing some weight for good. :)

You are recreating your body--that takes energy and muscle weighs more than fat does. And I hear ya---since May 6th, I have walked 45 miles, doing pilates, using my gazelle for more than a coat rack and I have lost...3.5 pounds.
BUT--I feel great, my sleeping is better, I have more energy. I just wish the scale would move.
I'm going to keep going too though, because, like you--the weight loss is just a fringe benefit! :)

Thank you so much DessaLyn, for your understanding and comment, it's good to know I'm not alone on this journey, though I still hope we both drop major poundage! :)
