I went to the doctor today and I was excited to be weighed. I lost 5 pounds since my last visit 2 weeks ago. About a year ago, when I went to the doctor, the physician's assistant was really rude to me, and said "Do you know you're obese? Do you know how overweight you are? What about your triglycerides? Do you realize you have to do 30 minutes a day of exercise?" I was so put off that I didn't go back to the doctor for a long time. Now since I've been dieting, it's fun to go get weighed. But they never say anything! I had to ask the PA today - "How much did I weigh last time?" And he said "Oh, you lost 5 pounds, that's good." That's GOOD? I want FIRECRACKERS and BALLOONS after that lecture from a while back. Pfft. I am doing really well, I have lost 20 pounds in less than 3 months, and my clothes are fitting much looser. I figure I need to lose about 8 more pounds to get down to the next lower size. But I really don't want to buy new clothes - I don't want to invest in anything while I've still got so much to lose. Still, my pants are falling off and I have some stuff in a size 14, but not a lot. Oh well. I'll figure it out.

You are doing great! The first pa needs to be coached in how to talk to people and motivate them rather than shoot them down.

Dollie...You are doing a fantastic job! Never define your success (or failure for that matter) by anyone else's standards! They are not you and do not know your struggles...You know you better than anyone else in the world...Own it sister! Own your journey and embrace it! Do your own fireworks in your head... hell do a cartwheel in the dr's office! celebrate yourself and the victories you have had...You deserve it! CHIN UP You're doing great!
