dave22's Journal, 01 September 2008

Things just come in cycles - don't they! Sometimes there is LOADS of time and opportunity to spend time reading and journalling and posting... and other times no sooner have ya opened your page before all hell breaks lose around ya... thats how it is here right now..

But its a big day.. the start of Sara's challenge so good luck to everyone involved and thanks again Sara for organizing it... (Am starting off at 168.2 W-38.5 H-39).

Isin't it amazing how things can get put into perspective... at this time I can't help thinking about our Kim, her family and all the others affected by Hurricane Gustav - We are all thinking of you kim away from home, and sending every fond wish for a speedy resolution to it all.... I heard on the radio this morning that Gustav was downgraded somewhat..lets hope thats the case....

Theres the phone!.... later..

meself!

I'm thinking of Kim too.. I read about Gustav in our paper yesterday and thought of her and the people involved and pray that everyone will be ok. Busy day huh? You'd die if it was me on the phone wouldn't you??? LOL

Yes, even though I'm far off from the path of the hurricanes, I am still glued to the news for any updates and praying for it to downgrade and not cause any lasting damage. Sorry to hear you have so much on your plate lately. It seems you've had LESS time to get on fatsecret since you got your internet connection at home! Irony at its best, I suppose.

Indeed, Kim is in our thoughts and prayers. I truly hope that this storm slows up a bit ( actually A LOT) before it hits New Orleans. Also hope you get more time to share with us Davy! I need my daily Davy fix!! **twitch**

Are you still having trouble with your "cycles", buddy? :) You may not have seen it, but on my journal a couple days ago I said I was watching Bonanza while walking on the treadmill, and it seemed like everyone in a cowboy hat was talking with an Irish accent! See what you've done to me? Still wearing your hat?

An Irish cowboy...an interesting concept. I think the TOM thing sorta kills it though.

I'm in the Dallas, Texas area so I can get you all the regalia you need to outfit yourself as a proper cowboy--I may just need your hip size one more time to make sure the chaps will fit! *grin*
