Another rainy day. I've got to mow at the earliest opportunity because I don't want to have to rake again. Phone problems behind me. Thanks, Lizzy! I've found some pretty neat apps that help ease the pain of parting wtih my Blackberry.

Jillian knows how to take me to the point where I'm so close to hitting that down arrow that lowers the speed, but I hang on just long enough and the speed either goes down or the incline does. I don't go into any workout thinking that "this is going to be a piece of cake" anymore. It just doesn't happen. I wonder each time whether I'm going to make it through the workout. I think I'm supposed to be doing these 4 times a week, so I'm doing her workouts every other day, and doing a brisk walk for 30 minutes in between each of the Jillian workouts. This seems to be working well for me. I think when I get done with these, then running a 5K on level ground will be a walk in the park.

Still working out with the resistance bands and doing the pushups every other day. The pushups raise my heart rate darn near the level that the Jillian workouts do. I can knockout 15 good pushups on a whim anytime now. I want to get back to the point where I can do 3 sets of 20 though. A little ways to go there. Taking another 20 or 30 pounds off ought to help in that area though.

I guess I just want to prove that older men don't have to have sunken chests and bloated bellies. :D I don't want to outlive my brain, but I want to be strong enough to carry it around until it's done doing its thing.

another cool app, sleepbot, also if you like astronomy, there are a few that are amazing, holds up to the sky and it matches or shows you where everything is :-)
