Wow did I do bad with my eating yesterday! I went over my RDI by more than 500 calories. Yikes! Luckily, I stayed under the rest of the week and hopefully I can keep under this week too.

Saturday was my first 5K and it was fun! My son had fun with it, but said he doesn't want to do it again, and my daughter was pretty negative about the whole thing. My hubby wanted to beat his top time, so I let him run ahead and I stayed with the kids. My daughter got about halfway and just didn't really want to do it any more. I tried to keep positive and tried to get her going, but she just didn't want to run and was sick of it. At 11 I probably would have been the same way. I was so tired after the 5K, but I did manage to get another 45 min. workout in that day. Maybe that is why I ate so much yesterday.

Well, it's a new week and my goals just reset. I'm going to eat under 1500 calories, I'm going to drink more water, and I'm going to stay positive. We leave Friday for a short vacation, so we will be eating out all weekend, but I'm going to try to keep drinking water and make smart choices. We'll be walking quite a bit, so that should help.

Happy Monday!!

I'm anxious to get the track field so I can start building up the miles I can walk and hopefully be able to run at least 1 mile! Was going to try to get down there this weekend, but didn't make it with all the yard work. I have 2 5k's scheduled for later this summer and want to be able to do well in them. Are you getting excited for your vacation? I need to find a place we can do a weekend get away. Went to St. Louis last year and the kids want to go back, so if I can't find anywhere else, we can always go there again.

I am excited for vacation, I think more just to get away than anything. We are going to Kansas City with some of my hubby's family, and taking the kids to World's of Fun and Lego Land. Have fun with the 5K's! It took me about 46 mins, because I had to drag my daughter along, but at least we finished. Now I want to do another one to see how I could do on my own.

That sounds fun! Yep you should do another one. They are fun. I'm doing one in September for our PreK program at school and a Run or Dye one in August with some people from work. It should be fun!
