Your body does burn energy while sleeping...but take the additional 2 pound weight loss and don't worry 'bout where it went. I'm sure someone else has found it. lol!

I'm afraid those 2 pounds just snuck under my pillow and are going to jump back aboard tonight while I sleep! ;-)

Think about what you ate yesterday, the weight of the food among other bodily creations inside of you are still there..so while your sleeping your body is still working to get rid of all the waste. What a motivation boost when you wake up and you're a little lighter!!

is not good to be checking your weigth daily. Is frustrating!

Daily weigh-ins keep me more accountable (guilt-driven). :-)

Every morning when i wake up that is the first thing I do. For me it helps. I am always about 2 to 3 pounds lighter in the morning,I just refuse to weight myself at night, because I know that at night you have lots of water weight.Keep going your doing great. Your almost half way there !!!!

Almost half-way there....Almost half-way there.....!!!! Did it again last night -- 182.4....This morning....179.8....Morning weigh-ins work best. Now I just have to find the right food combo to restart. Already not eating whites....But have to keep a little milk and dairy since I'm pre-menopausal.

but I think theres not point in getting weigth twice a day. In order for you to know your real weigth, you may choose a time of the day and a day of the week as references. That's how I do it. I don't undesrstand why to be worring for your weigth so much... at the end the important part is if you really are changing yours habits. Being thinner in the mornings normal.

Hi Gloriannys -- I suppose it just depends on what works for each person. For me, the bedtime weigh-ins were more a matter of curiosity than anything else. Some people like to weigh themselves before and after their workouts. I weigh-in every morning to keep myself accountable. It's necessary for me, just as entering all my food is. I've been working on losing weight for almost two-and-a-half months, and it's still a battle with my 'addictions' to food. I've been overweight since I was a child, and battled with food all my life. Even yesterday, when I thought about my favorite cookies, my mouth began to water -- truly. A pavlonian response...still. Once I've gained control of my new lifestyle, I may cut back on my weigh-ins. As a life-long 'fatty', every pound--every half pound-- is a victory, and every gain or stall is a small defeat. I can't speak for anyone else, but daily weigh-ins and worrying about every pound is the way I have to do things right now. And it may be the way I have to do things permanently. :-)
