The training's getting harder and harder now as the boxing season starts in about 6 weeks. Before my gym session started my coach marked out 50 square metres. After 5 mins of skipping he blew a whistle and got me to jog for 15 seconds, then he'd blow the whistle again and I'd have to sprint for 5 seconds. We did this continually for 7 and a hlaf minutes. After that we went into our usual routine in the gym but we've stepped up the intensity now. I have to do 2 mins on a bag then he blows a whistle and for 15 seconds I have to puch as fast and hard as I can continuously. He then blows the whistle again and I recover whilst still throwing punches. We repeat this another 3 times. So the round ends up being 4 minutes. We do 6 rounds of this altogether then move into various stomach excercises including leg raises and medicine ball work. To finish off we go into some technique work followed by stretching. Needless to say I'm still feeling jelly legged! lol
