I had the most AMAZINGLY FABULOUS Mother's Day .. I've not had such a wonderful Mother's Day in many many years. Don't get me wrong, they are always good but this one just ROCKED!!!
Lynae, my 24 yr old daughter took me and her 20 yr old married pregnant sister, Alyssa out to lunch at Primo's Italian Restaurant. I had their Shrimp Alfredo and since Alyssa is pregnant and can't have seafood, I cheated and let her have 3 of the tiny shrimp. Just enough to make her happy. I wasn't hungry enough to finish my plate but I was satisfied. I only had 1 glass of Root Beer. Then home to spend some time with all my girls and husband. I also have a truly wonderful friend that sent me a special treat. She got me a gorgeous Purple blouse and a stunning bright yellow top also. She is Colly and she is the most fabulous lady I know. She's beautiful inside and out and I love her!!! Then it was off to the Ball park. I won 4 tickets to the Redhawks game (home town minor league Baseball team). We parked almost 2 blocks away and walked to the ballpark. The tickets also were for the Legends Lounge (this is a special buffet club house for members only). It's an all you can eat buffet and soda's also. I was pretty proud of myself. I had a hot dog and chicken drumstick and some mashed potatoes and a sierra mist. Later on I had another chicken drumstick and some chips. Didn't over eat, didn't finish what was on my plate and wasn't hungry the rest of the night. I stayed under my calories and walked back to the car after we lost but had a BLAST!!!! Seats were just to the left of home plate, 4 rows back. AWESOME seats. AMAZING company and I didn't myself proud in the control areas of my meals. It doesn't get better than that!!!

Hmmm, how much do I not like bread? I bought a sub sandwich for lunch at 7-11, put some mayo on it and took a few bites then proceeded to pick all the meats off of it and eat them and threw away the bread and mayo!!! LOL.. gotta love my finickiness!!!

Oh gosh, I'm so glad you had such an awesome mothers day! So glad I could be a part of it, as well! Your finickiness is going to be your biggest asset in your weight loss journey, I firmly believe that. You're finally giving yourself permission to let it dictate what you eat, and it isn't letting you down, is it?

Nope, it's not letting me down so far. I know I just need to be more mindful of the fried foods and starchy foods. The breads as you can tell are not a problem for me. Pasta's are something I really have to be in the mood for. I love my red meat though. I don't eat as much as I used to, I guess I think too much about where it comes from. ewwww

Yep, I seriously could be a vegetarian if I thought too much about where my meat comes from. Sad but true.

Thinking about where my food comes from is what keeps me pushing along on the vegan diet...lol. It takes powers from all directions to keep me from eating everything in sight.

I don't think I could ever go Vegan but please don't help me remember why I should or where everything comes from. I think about it way too much already and I already have too many issues with 'fresh' carnivore type food thoughts. I've got a week stomach. LOL.. double ewwwwwwwwwwwww
