Psyllium Husks -- ugh. 1 Tablespoon in my tea, and I can't drink it fast enough! Slimy!

I just got some of that, psyllium husk fiber. Also going to start an apple cidar regiment . . . Been hearing good things about both. :)

Do you see/notice a difference with Psyllium Husks? I know I need more fiber just in general.

Yeah, will make a great turd. Not to be gross about it, but it works. Its not something that will hit you real fast, but if you incorporate it in your foods and shakes, after about 1 or 2 days you will be regular as heck.

Also want to add, I make a raw vegan chocolate mousse with the psyllium husk. I use that and coconut oil, blend my hemp or soy milk, agave nectar, and cocoa powder until it starts to thicken real well. Then refrigerate. Works like jello. So if you cant stomach drinks or shakes, make your desserts out of it. Wont even notice its there.

Ugh....I drank it way too slow today, and ended up sucking back snot-like spoonfuls at the end. Don't know if I'll be doing that again. Don't eat desserts, so that's not an option.

I have had really good results with apple cider vinegar. Notice it in my blood sugar; especially my morning ones.

For fiber--I shake Benefiber on everything hot. Doesn't mix well with cold items.

DessaLyn -- How do you take the Cider Vinegar? I'd like to see if it helps my mornings levels.

Hi WonderWoman, When I started with the vinegar, I put one capful into 20oz of water. Then I gradually increased it to 2. I have read that vinegar can hurt the enamel on your teeth--which is why I use 20oz of water. I put vinegar in all the water I drink at home and work.

Apple Cider Vinegar just doesn't sound good. But then, most things that are good for you don't sound too appetizing. Although, I must say, the vinegar sounds better than slimy, snot-like spoonfuls of psyllium husks. lol!

@TJ: I know...vinegar! ugh, right? However, I'm now so used to it, I don't like water without it.

I may have to try that. I did Aloe Vera Juice for a while, mixing it in with my water, strictly a capful for every 16-20 ounces of water. The only real problem with the Aloe Juice is...well...just don't think all you're going to do is pass gas. It's a good bowel regimen.
