Dear Scale,

You're looking very good right now. I've behaved and done well for 2 days in a row now. I know you would give me a happy number compared to all the damage I did over the weekend but I'm looking for more than a happy number. I'm looking for bells and whistles and streamers being dropped from the ceiling. I want to believe you're broken and replace you with a shiny new scale because the number is too good to be true. I want to do a happy dance that's so happy I risk getting pee squirts. Yup.. When I see you again.. I will probably break you by jumping up and down in excitement. I'm kickin some serious butt here.

Look forward to possibly doing serious damage to your springs..

Calorie deficit yesterday of -686 calories. It's not 783 and it's not 1000 but it's still progress! And.. I got my veggie garden boxes filled with dirt last night. Now I just have to pop some seeds in those bad boys and I will have veggies right in my own back yard! Yay!! Because I was busy working on the garden boxes I didn't have time for dinner so I made the family some pepperoni rolls and I ate some cereal.. but the pepperoni rolls looked sooooo good. They're huge and gooey and pepperoni.. BUT I managed to only cut off a slice and I stayed around 1300 calories. I did not grab the whole thing and stuff my face so.. I WIN! Haha! I gave myself a treat and I didn't completely crumble into an ice cream pepperoni induced coma. I'm awesome.

I have a total deficit of -1469 in 2 days. Today? I'm going to do amazing. Before you know it I'm going to be skipping up and down the hallways. Ok maybe not.. that would probably give me the pee squirts.

I did curse yesterday.. there was construction at the grocery store and a cart boy decided he was talented enough to direct traffic.. he wasn't. You could tell he thought he was with all the really enthusiastic hand signals. Traffic would have been better if he would have just gone and got the darn carts! Also.. bowing to each car as it passed him.. a bit confusing and not nearly as entertaining as he thought it was. I cursed. I owed $1 for cursing. The good news is it wasn't $10 worth of cursing. It could have been if I hadn't caught myself and started using some creative names for the cart boy.

If I started a swear fund a year ago I'd be commenting on your journal today from my yacht in the Caribbean. Frustration with the grocery cart boys here would have paid for the motors. I'm convinced none of them ever shop much less carry groceries into the house or they wouldn't try to fit two gallon jugs into the same plastic bag.

I need a bodymedia, I'd love to know how many calories I burn in a day. I'm so excited for you that you are doing so well. You are so motivated, I'm hoping some of that motivation trickles over to me. I'm struggling with keeping calories down. I'm wanting to be around 1200-1300 more consistently. I'll get there!

You can get a heart rate monitor that tracks calories burned. I think I found a few for around $50. Mine requires a monthly fee and was $95 when I joined jillian michaels. Although.. the site sucks. I think I'm going to cancel and see if my wrist display still works and tells me what I'm burning. It won't tell me if I'm sleeping or not and I won't get to see the cool graphs that tell me what I burned when. Eh.. It's only $5 a month. I spend more than that on coffee a week!

You are amazing!!! Congrats on the 2 day deficit and for staying away from the pizza rolls. You will be doing the happy dance on the scale!! I love the part that streamers and bells and whistles...I can just imagine it all!!

Awesome job holding back on the pepperoni rolls! That cart boy sounds like an idiot, you should have 'nudged' him back to his job with your car. :)

I have my garden area in too!! Got it in over the weekend, it is 12x5 and 10" tall. Soooo excited!! Got the wire and latice up for the squash too. Not just have to finish the picket fence gate. And of course start hauling dirt. Bring on the veggies!!

You need wire and latice for squash? I need to figure out where to put everything now. We have 2 boxes that are 3 x 13' and 24" tall. Otherwise the dogs will sit in them. I wonder how many times I can ask my neighbor a garden question before she threatens to stab me with a garden rake.

LOL...I was wondering the how many more questions I can ask my neigbor too!! Let's see which of us reaches that limit first!! As for the squash, being a city girl I have limited space so I am going to grow them vertically up the latice. That way I can have more squash, my hubby's new obbsession, and still have room for other veggies. Finger's crossed!!
