Dear Scale,

I'm going back to basics and I'm going to be twiggy the next time I see you. HA! Suck it! I saw you lookin at me again. Between you and the red weigh in thing on fatsecret I'm becoming a stubborn 3 yr old. I don't wanna weigh in! Mostly because I'm afraid I went up. Normally I would dread weighing in and put it off. Now? Well now I'm being true to my word which supports my denial so ha! I don't even want to see you!

I'm wearing my bodymedia again. I know.. it's summer. People can see it now. I keep getting asked if I'm OK. I am. I need to come up with a good explaination though. If I say heartrate monitor people start measuring my desk at work because I'm obviously about the kick the bucket. If I say it tracks my calories I get eye rolls. But do I care? I'm still trying to decide. Eh.. I went to work last week with leg stubble. After a lack of sleep, two kids, a farm and a full time job you have that defining moment when you think. Huh.. Well maybe no one will notice I have a lil stubble. It's not like I'm rubbing up against anyone! Yup.. defining moment right there. This time last year I would have died before I left the house with a 5 o'clock shadow. Well wait.. I was 9 months pregnant.. I couldn't reach my legs then. Ok 2 years ago.

I did amazing on the calories despite the cookies in the breakroom. I don't even know what they are.. but they look amazing. I bought skinny cow ice cream sandwiches and I didn't touch them. I will only touch them when they fit in my calorie range. I will be twiggy. I will piss off the other women in my life trying to lose weight. I will shock and amaze my family when they see me. I will be 130 by the end of summer. I will not act like a kid in a candy shop with the chocolate chips meant for baking. I am a strong chicky who will show some form of self control. So scale you can go suck it! I will obsess again about you when I think my pants are loose.

Yesterday was a calorie deficit of -783. Not the -1000 I'm shooting for but close!

:) Your letters to the scale make me smile. I want to see if I can stay off the scale the whole month, but I'm avoiding it right now in case I've gone up! I don't feel any different, not heavier, not lighter, exactly the same which is ok I guess for the first week of the challenge! Leg stubble made me laugh! When I was in labor with my first, I climbed in the bathtub and did some pretty impressive stretches to get my legs where I could reach them so they were nice and smooth when I went to the hospital. With the second, knowing I was having another c-section, I said to heck with it and went with stubble. I did make hubby paint my toenails both times though, lol.

Haha love it. You tell that scale who's boss! This morning, I stayed away from the scale. I didn't even go into that bathroom that has the scale. I thought of you guys and how you are all staying away from the scale! Keep going, be a strong chicky. Can't wait to see the pictures of you when you are 'twiggy'.

Had a pretty good day myself yesterday, now just need to stay on track today and so far it's looking pretty good. As for the shaving... yup been there lmao (but I did this morning sorry, we can wear shorts to work so decided to take advantage of the last nice day for awhile). I really want to give up the scale but I said not until I was back consistently below 130. So good for you!

You can do this, you can. Anyone who can handle a full time job, 2 kids, a husband and running a farm can do anything they damn well please. You go girl! Love your journals/letters to the scale. So funny!

Keep up this motivation for all of us will you! Thanks for your new resolve. Tell people that ask about your monitor that it is the latest techno gadget from Apple that transmits your Facebook pokes automatically to your brain. Or better yet - say "what arm band"? You are doing amazing and I love your writing.

ok - explain bodymedia - please... I love reading your journal!! especially today - been down all day since this was my brother's birthday (he would have been 71), but he passed almost 2 years ago - Anyway, you always make me smile!! and wow - 130...I haven't seen that number since I was in High School 110 years ago - and that number and I will never be on speaking terms again - right now, I'm aiming for my first digit to be a 1, not a 2!! after that, we'll see lol

I never had any problems shaving or anything pregnant and I got big. Like I could easily hid the giant Walmart bouncy balls they have beside me. lol! I got shorts this year and this is the first year I have ever been brave enough to wear shorts and not be pregnant. My legs are soooo white it is like looking at the midday sun shining off the snow. I am getting so excited to see where you are at the end of the month. Congrats on the willpower not to use your scale. That would really bother me if I couldn't do it at least once a week.

Bodymedia is one of those devices that you wear on your upper arm. It a heart monitor that tracks calories burned, how many steps you take and how many hours you sleep. People look at you weird when they see it though. lol But.. it's a fun gizmo!
