Ok, so obviously the cream/whipped cream is making an impact but not the way I want it to. Went overboard on it yesterday. Also didn't do much in the way of veg since I was out of spinach and stuff. So now I scale back to what I was doing before, planning so I'm successful. Limiting the cream, whipped cream and cream cheese a bit to keep it in balance. Obviously my body isn't handling the calories and carbs even though I was upping the fat...oh well...I knew I was on the low end of tolerance anyway but now I know where the line is to keep losing.

Sunny and cooler and beautiful this am. Already did my laundry, checked the mail, deposited my check at the bank and had breakfast. If I can keep up the momentum, I can get a lot done today.

I found out a friend's mom was just diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and it's a matter of hours/days. I'm sad for their family as I know they will miss her but I also know they've always said what needed to be said so there won't be regrets. I guess this is the time in life where my generation starts to see our parents getting old and passing. Hopefully I've got a while before I'm impacted with mine but it's never easy watching your parents go. My dad's 74, my mom's 64...I'm hoping I have a lot more time with them. Dad's a fitness geek and is pretty healthy. Mom's trying but is struggling between weight, stress and joints that aren't cooperating. I hope she can do it but I can only encourage her. And I know where they're both going when they pass so I just say what needs to be said all the time. We're not promised anything and I can go before they do. I don't want either of us to have regrets of I shoulda said/done. Same with my kids.

Anyway. Enough introspection for the moment. Designing my life and enjoying every minute. I'm really blessed.
