jaime30024's Journal, 30 April 2013

Okay it seems that things have been crazy busy. Friday night I worked until around 8pm. Then Friday night TOM had me down so bad that I was in tears, and my poor DH didn't know what to do. Really nothing he could do. However, it exhausted me. Saturday morning we were up early and went to this sale and it wasn't all that it was supposed to be. Walked around a bit and then came back to town and spent the hour walking aroound an annual subdivision garage sale...that was fun. Then we went home and got ready to go to his business dinner that night. I did not eat the rice...had my meat and veggies.

Sunday we had another business brunch. I did have about three chocolate covered strawberries and a slice of chocolate covered pineapple. The best thing was I got a call from my daughter!!!!!! It was so good to hear her voice. We talked for 30 minutes. She was tired, but good. She said bootcamp is what she expected and she passed her swim test. She is working hard and such a tough girl I am so proud of her. She did NOT mail a form letter because the day they mailed them she was sick in quarters getting an infected ingrown toenail cut out.

Sunday night I was light on carbs.

Yesterday was such a hectic work day. I left work to run errands and then got home to work more. Stopped to cook dinner and then worked again until 8pm. I was almost in tears I was so disgusted. So I am prayerful that today will be better. That I will get done and be able to get some exercise in. This weekend is the Bloomsday 12k, and I am looking forward to that. So sorry that I have been MIA and hopefully I am back here.

Today should be better.

Wow, a phone call is far better than a letter, that's fab news and so happy you shared it with us all as you know we've been concerned too with you not getting the letter, what a bummer. Now I hope you got all the information you need to communicate with her better plus hearing her voice and knowing she's good will go a long way to ease your mind. New goal, set your mind to bursting with pride for the woman she's become, that you did your job of raising her well. Nothing more a mother could ask for than a well rounded independent young woman out in the world making her mark on it while serving her country. That should put a big old smile on your face for sure. Time now to get back to Jaime, you need to put yourself in the forefront and take care of you. Have fun at the run, exactly what you need right now.

So glad your daughters worst experience so far is the toenail! Hormones suck, hang in there, this too shall pass... never fast enough. I think you are ready for a good long night of sleep!
