I am now halfway through the 30 Day Challenge on EA Sports Active.

I'm pretty impressed that I've been able to keep with it despite my fears that the game is trying to kill me and also considering that I've been doing it on freaking medium. (Switched over from easy after the first time since it seemed too easy that way.)

It's been a crazy day and I actually just got home less than an hour ago and this is the first time I've really been able to sit at my computer and do something. Work today (obviously since it's a Monday), spent my lunch running around like a lunatic picking up a package at the post office and buying last minute stuff for a friend's birthday. Went straight from work to a happy hour where we celebrated said birthday.

Can I just point out something here that I'm super proud of? Instead of having a ton of greasy fatty stuff like wings and pizza and the typical happy hour fare, I ordered a turkey burger. Yes, it came with fries (which I DID eat) but dinner wise that and two glasses of wine was NOT a bad option. BTW, I'm officially a lightweight when it comes to drinking. Two glasses of wine made me tipsy. I also skipped over the cupcakes when we went to the cupcake place and just had an iced coffee with skim milk (needed SOMETHING to counter the effects of the wine - didn't realize two glasses would make me tipsy, sheesh.)

Walked around a bit and between that and the shopping at lunch I probably got a good amount of exercise since I'm now sporting some blisters from the shoes I wore to work (cute, but not meant for walking the distances I did today.) Came home and did my EA Active workout so I'm pretty pleased all around.

Oh, another awesome thing. Belts are my friend today. Even though my work pants are a little too freaking big to wear, my old belts (which I couldn't even get AROUND me earlier this year) now fit again and hold them up nicely. I can't even tell you how long I went without wearing belts because you really don't want to be strangled by a piece of leather when your pants are already too tight.

Affirmations for today:
1) Every day I'm getting more fit

2) I can make good choices and not have to skip going out with friends or to group events.

Oh yeah, last month happy hour so would've been an order of wings, a pizza, four glasses of wine and then a cupcake or ice cream after. Oh and then some kind of latte while I sobered up. It took a lot of planning with the menu online (and then there) but I managed to swing it and I don't think that's a bad calorie count for me considering how much I freaking DID today.

Excellent restraint at the happy hour! I just threw a belt away that I had exceeded the last notch. That's something you can look forward to real soon
