kingkeld's Journal, 29 April 2013

Good morning!

I had so much fun yesterday, jamming with both my band and my brother and his band.

We ended up deciding on two songs for the jam on Wednesday - "All Summer Long" by Kid Rock (which is a blatant steal of Sweet Home Alabama, as you'll hear), and a Danish classic rock song by a band called Gasolin'.

We did some recordings, just to have a little memory of a fun day, and should you feel like it, you can check it out here.

Foodwise, it was an okay day.

The keyboard girl from my brother's band did sandwiches, and she was nice to do some cleaner ones - just ham, cheese and lettuce for me. I don't like all the mayo and other grease that "normal" people like to put in their sandwiches.

She made three of them, and I had them over the course of the day. Not too bad. It all was calculated to the best of my abilities, of course.

Along with this she brought home made pesto, foccacia breads, garlic oils etc. Very tasty, and I did have a little. Again, it gets too yucky for me way too fast.

Still, it was great food, and a great addon to a fun day.

I like the music that we got put together - it's simple and jamming, and something easy to get moving on when we're playing on Wednesday.

We can't get too much into the details on the songs, we simply don't have enough time to really prep for that kinda thing.

Burnin' Live will be doing our own thing too though. Much more details on that. Actually, I think we might be able to show just a little of what we do one of these days. I gotta listen to the recordings and make a decision on that.

Weight is up! :) LOL. It's a rare thing to get to put a smiley after such a statement. But I'm actually happy that it's up a little bit, though I am sure it's just the "aftershock" of the weekend.
I'm at 83.1, still far from 85, and it's a good place for me to be. I'm happy with it.

I'm about to head out for my morning walk, so my journal will be relatively brief today. I don't have that much on my mind anyways, so it would just end up being a lot of babbling anyways.

...

After the walk, it'll be the gym, and then back to work. Booo! I do NOT wanna go to work today. After work, I am teaching my class, and I will be working a few hours at the gym afterwards. My first real day at work. :)

...

Today, I'm thankful for:
- A great night's sleep.
- A busy day ahead.
- Walk. Gym.
- A FUN day yesterday.

Happy Monday! Life is good!

YAY! Sounds like a PERFECT Sunday. Good job on the food, too! I know what you mean about your change in palate! There are things I used to eat unabashedly and now cannot handle, either only very small portions or none at all. Soda is one of them. I used to easily drink a 6-er a day. now I can't handle them but MAYBE once every 6 months. If that. We're changing not only our eating habits, but our taste for foods!

Happy Monday! I'm wish you. I have always liked my sandwiches meat, cheese and bread only - with a dill pickle now and then. I guess I am lucky to have never cared for spreads because I would have probably had a lot more to lose. Sounds like your music is hopping and fun. Can't wait to hear more!
