Ran my first 5K today! My goal was to make it without stopping, and I made it!


Congratulations! Great job. It feels amazing when we set goals and reach them, doesn't it? So glad that you were able to accomplish this one!

Thank you! I wanted to stop and rest soooo many times, but I wouldn't let myself. My first mile was 12 minutes...a minute off my best mile time!

Wow that is great! I just recently got in to running (or jogging) and my eventual goal is to get to a 10 minute mile. I have a long way to go, averaging like 13 or 14. A 12 minute mile is awesome, especially since you did it during the race!

Thanks. It went downhill after the 12 minute mile :) My total time was 44:19. The course had a LOT of hills, which I am not used to running, and that slowed me down a lot.
