January 15, 2013, I weighed in at right at 215 lbs, 5'4" tall. I decided right then that I would once again see my waist line by my birthday at the end of September. Co-workers suggested the low carb - high protein diet. So, of course I started it without doing any research on it. I pretty much followed the diet one of the guys I work with told me he was doing. Well, needless to say, eating as much lean meat, cheese, and little vegetables as I wanted didn't work for me. I didn't gain but I didn't lose. I went cold turkey by deleting all sugar, starches, and sodas out of my diet completely. I began to see some weight loss but not what I thought I should have lost by changing my diet. This was so frustrating. But... I wasn't exercising. So, now, I walk and jog 5 days a week, jogging as far as I can (because I'm still not in the best of shape), then walk - alternating the two. I work out to a couple good youtube workout videos that I found about 3 times a week and am pleased to be able to see a difference in how my body have started to finally change back into its original shape..... which was quite lovely if I say so myself! Good job for me! Keeping it moving! 35lbs to go.

Way to go! Congrats not only on making the progress, but also on turning your feelings on the subject around since your last post. We can do it!

@ LizCon - Thank you! It's amazing at how a little weight loss can make you feel. I am so, so determined to get this weight off. I didn't realize how depressed I was until my children pointed out to me how much "happier" I look. Yes, we can do it!
