Pilates! I am so proud that I have maintained my early morning workouts for 6 weeks, taking just Monday mornings off!

Yesterday I was wondering is 1500 calories of mostly healthy food is better than 1500 calories of whatever (processed, fast food, etc)? Or is a calorie a calorie? And do I need to reduce my calories in addition to eliminating the junk? The last 3 days I've incorporated a lot more fruit, vegetables, eggs, whole foods and was able to post a loss this morning, even with TOM starting today too! Goal is to keep up with eating better and be able to post even more of a loss next week!

Have a great weekend!

Good for you on keeping up with the exercise!! I've heard a lot of people say a calorie is a calorie, but for me it seems like if I eat better I feel better, so I'd rather throw some fruit and veggie calories in than junk food calories. I'd say if you're seeing a loss eating the same amount of calories, but eating better foods stick with it. Then, if as you're getting lower and you start not seeing losses as much you can reduce your calories a little. I guess I think too, that if the calories I'm eating have more fiber in them and things that are good for my body, then I will get rid of those calories faster or my body will use them more. I don't know if that's true, but it keeps me trying to eat healthier. :)

I agree with you, if I'm feeding my body things that are better for it, then hopefully it will use it up faster than the junk food hanging around with no benefit. I don't know if it is true either, but makes me want to eat better too, so I'm going to keep thinking it :)

That's amazing working out straight for 6 weeks. You must feel the changes of how your clothes are fitting plus the added strength you've gained. Keep up the great work! I agree, eating healthier is better, plus the good foods are not empty calories like processed foods are. Congrats on the loss!

Thank you! I don't realize a difference in my strength until times like at lunch. I ran and got dog food, I picked up the 50 pound bag and put it in the cart with no trouble at all!
