Since I've been dieting I have really started thinking about cooking more from scratch. With all 4 of us in my little family in school it's hectic, but I think trying to cook more will be worth it. I really love baking/cooking...I hate just throwing a frozen meal in the oven. I can't wait to garden and get fresh veggies too!
I'm reading this book/cook book called The Homemade Pantry: 101 Foods You Can Stop Buying and Start Making. It's really inspiring me to give it a shot. I'll start slow and get used to it. I'm defidently going to start with the bread. My kids love bread! I have been getting it at this bakery, so I'm sure that's healthier than the grocery store processed stuff, but it'll be fun to make my own.

Ooo that sounds like a wonderful idea, you'll have to share some of the recipes with us once you perfect them. :) A super yummy/easy recipe that I love is Salsa Chicken. Take out a chicken breast, pour a 1/4 cup of salsa over it, bake at 350 for 25 minutes and when it's done top it with some Greek yogurt!

yum! I'll try that. And I'll share recipes once I have them down. I'm excited she has recipes for crackers, cheese, yogurt, noodles.....lots of stuff.

The yogurt one sounds good. I have lots of websites with healthy foods I could give you links too if you are interested.
