I need to loose weight so my knees won't hurt. But my knees hurt when I try to loose weight! UGH!!! I haven't been able to walk around the neighborhood anymore because my knees are hurting. Therefore, I only lost 0.5 pounds last week... I guess it's better than nothing, but still!

You are right, it is better than nothing. I am sure just a small walk round the neighbouhood will help you, I wish you well, you can do this. Just think your knees will hurt less and less as the weight comes off.

Hey u! U need to purchase osteo bi flex supplements. They are fantastic for joint health and will keep knees from pain I use it everyday and have noticed a huge difference! In the meantime until the supplements kick in you need to buy a pair of stretchable knee braces and wear them when you walk it helps a lot. You can get those at Rite Aid CVS Let me know how it works out

Thanks for the encouragement!!! :) I will definately try walking at least 30 mins, slowly and will check on that Osteao Bi Flex Supplement. I do have a tumor in my Tibia (lower extremity bone) which can't be removed because it's made out of the same bone, not a mass. However, it's not cancerous. Although I have to keep checking on it yearly... Anyways, that tumor causes problems in my Patella (kneecap)and that plus the weight I've gained, have made it worst. Especially because my doctor prohibited any exercise that would put any pressure on my knees. No bycicle, running, skating, hicking, etc. SUCKS! cause those are the things I enjoyed the most. I love hiking! Especially volcanoes in Costa Rica and Guatemala. Now I can't even do Ice Skating, which I really love... but hey, it's not cancer and I'm happy that at least I was able to do all those things at one point in my life.

That's the spirit ! Sorry about your condition and not being able to do all those things you love to do, although you do sound like you have a very positive attitude. 30 minutes a day (or even 20) will do you the world of good, I'm sure :-)
