I have decided that the days when I am around 900 calories I feel a lot better than the days that are 1200 or so. I had to go out of town today so grabbed something small this morning and stopped at a store I know for a deviled egg I know they have. It is nice because they come on a little lettuce so I eat it all. Well today I didn't eat all the lettuce because there was more than I wanted but usually it is a small leaf broken up.

My supper looks huge but all it amounted to was a MIM, a salad, cup of broccoli and some of the salmon left over from last night. I really felt satisfied half way through everything and if that is the case next time I am putting the rest away and I am stopping. I never went off and ate anything I wasn't allowed but I still feel like I ate a turkey. I think there is a lot to be said about "Eating to live" because all we really need to so is eat enough to live. So even though I stayed on plan I am keeping my calories down to a certain number I think.

I only manage to get a walk in every other day right now too.And when I go back to work I will be spending every other week in an area where I can't walk because there really isn't any place to do it. But I will find something to do so I am not just sitting like a lump.

So I have lost about 5 lbs and I will post it when it is a whole 10 lbs. Because right now I feel better doing it that way. I want to turn off the little blurb that says how much I am losing a week but I don't think I can. It isn't very encouraging right now because I went almost 2 weeks without anything and in the past 3 days or so 5 lbs is gone. So it is going to look like a few oz a week. lol! I am really trying not to put too much stress on the scales and am trying to look at other things too.

Great Job on the 5Lbs !! I really understand where you're coming from about stressing over the scale. My first 3 weeks I was weighting all the time. Seeing the scale go up and down up and down was very frustrating !! Well, now I just concentrate on one day at a time and trying to stay in Ketosis. I feel it in my clothes -- the scale is just a number, but the clothes remind me I'm doing something right !!! Keep on Keeping on !!!

I agree and that needle is getting closer to 180 every day right now. I do weigh every morning but my mind set about it is different. I seem to have hit the sweet spot where this is working for me. I did give up the Atkins bars too. I am pretty much sticking to certain veggies. Even though I can have a cup a day of the higher carb veggies I find I am better off staying with a single pick instead of a tsp of this and a quarter cup of that to make a different salad. I like my lettuce and cuke salad very very much. I have been using two tbs of mayo and a tsp of horseradish in the salad and mixing it all around before putting it on my plate. I love it ! I also can tell that too many calorie days in the 1000 plus area leave me feeling too stuffed. Now I just wish to goodness the weather would be SPRINGLIKE instead of this crap we keep getting. Wind and snow and maybe rain and I would rather have the RAIN!!!!. Just depressing.

My doctor told me 1000, and I do feel better eating less, going to venture out myself on foot supposedly 81 degrees but we will see.Keep up the good work the scale again is my worst enemy at some point I can only hope to make friends with the damned thing.

Heck it was snowing here this a.m. and it is looking like the only good day is Thursday at 44 degrees. Every other day is snow/rain. We got way more snow than rain here today. I have invented a new word ....discpressed. A combination of discouraged and depressed when it comes to the weather. I am so finished with winter I wish to hey it would finish with us!

Yeah, you are losing!!! Post away! Be proud! you will learn to ignore that blip on FS, I don't even realize it is there when I weigh in. It is so true, we eat eat enough to live, like gas in our car. We just don't want to be gas guzzlers! LOL.
