CollyMP's Journal, 04 April 2013

No exercise at all yesterday, other than housework. Might not be today either, I am swollen up and sore and aching. It IS supposed to be almost not cold today so if I can get out to walk and get the ol' circulation pumping I'll do that but it's still pretty chilly out there. We'll see what happens this afternoon.

:-) Housework is exercise, don't you kid yourself. Esp if you do it the way I do. I find it probably burns less energy now than in the past ~ whenever I put my housekeeper on furlough as I have the past couple of months ~ I'd be so worn out just doing it myself. My back and feet would be aching and I'd be a wringing wet sweaty mess because of the extra burden on my body. Now... I climb up on a step ladder and get those cabinets ignored for lo too many months and think 'why is it if you want a job done right.. you have to do it yourself?' Regardless, I'm grateful I've been given the ability to do it although the act of cleaning the toilet doesn't thrill me, the toilet being clean (does). That reminded me of a past experience (babbling on here) ... when I traveled for my corporate job I used to stay at the same 'places' over and over and one of the managers laughed that whenever they saw my name come up on a reservation they made it a point to always put me in a different room. In my manic insomniac ways back then, the room was always cleaner when i left than when I arrived. They understood I was fulfilling a 'need' within me and they started putting a little cleaning bucket with supplies in the room each time and would give me a deep discount.

LOL-that's hilarious Bella! Please, do, feel free to come and clean my bathrooms! I HATE cleaning floors, beyond anything else, but toilets come a close second (I love doing windows though-go figure). But I will say-being an insomniac as well, I also clean late in the night. It's most satisfying and it stays clean longer.

My downstairs neighbors hated me when I was a single apartment dweller... they complained about the late night vacuuming.
