Lost 2.75 lb this week. Wow, very pleased with this!

I am very glad I made my In Laws take the rest of the chocolate cake home with them yesterday, otherwise I'm afraid I would have eaten it all.

Now on week 3 of the 5k training. I did it yesterday so not doing any running today, as I like to leave a full day In between each session, but I think I will still go on the treadmill anyway, but just walk fast for 20 mins. I don't know what exercise everyone records on here, but I'm just recording when I do some running, as that is what makes me very out of breath, so I'll not be recording my walking. It's just a bonus for me then isn't it.

Congratulations! I record all my exercise because I like to know how many calories I've really burned in a day, so I can compare it properly with what I've taken in. If I do nothing but sleep and sit for a day, it's surprisingly few calories, so if I was gaily eating the recommended for women 2000/day, I'd soon be creeping back up with my weight! I don't think people really realise this. And of course as you lose weight, the number of calories needed for the same activities drops, which can be a little depressing! But being lighter more than compensates of course! Your intake I would say is on the low side, especially for someone running, do be careful as you don't want to put your body in starvation mode so that whenever you do eat anything more relaxed as you say you will next week, it will automatically panic-store it as fat against the next food drought.

Haha, thanks for your comments, I've not really got another mini goal yet, I will be happy with 1 pound per week. Although I say I'm running, it's only for a few minutes at a time as I've got a 5k training programme so I burn 200 calories each time I do it. I don't run for a full half an hour. I know you've said before you think my calories intake is low, but I daren't increase it yet, I think the week I'm not at work I will change it to 2000, then change it back to 1500 the week after. I do go over every day anyway so most days I'm on more that 1700 is anyway. While ever its working I am happy :-)

rockytu - well I never thought I'd inspire anyone with my journals, although I'm glad I have. Today is a new day, new week, new month, so a very good time to try harder or start again, whichever it is. Look how much you've lost so far, that is brilliant. I don't know about you but I'm trying not to think about how much I still want to lose cos it seems huge, I'm just aiming for 1 pound a week, and then aiming to not put 20 lb on again like I did at the end of last year !!
