I AM ADDING THIS EDIT AT THE TOP OF MY

JOURNAL

I really did it!!! I did my kettle bell workout...and it kicked my butt. I have only been done for 30 minutes and my abs and hamstrings are on fire, but I DID IT!!! WoooHooo!!

GOOD FRIDAY....

It is Good Friday and I am up and feeling fantastic. I got up early enough to see the sun rise and it was awesome...God is such an amazing artist, isn't He???

For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. John 3:17

In this verse I find the promise of Good Friday (the day Christ was crucified)...and on Easter we celebrate the fulfillment of that promise, the resurrection.

And so, to all my friends, I say blessings to you on this Good Friday.

I am hoping that there is a walk in my future today. It is supposed to be sunny and relatively warm, and I think I feel well enough to get out and stretch my legs again, finally! I may even break out the kettle bell and get a workout in! GASP!!!! I am celebrating my new life given my by Christ's sacrifice this weekend, so what better time to continue my journey to a new and healthier lifestyle, and get this show on the road again.

I am going to attempt to answer the comments from my buddies on the previous days journals and do a bit of visiting with all of you, but we all know how successful I have been with that the last couple of weeks. Seems like every time I sit down to do that, something pops up. I am praying for a nice peace filled day. I am still trying to figure out how to post the instagram photos to my journal. If any of you tech savvy buddies have any tips for me, I would appreciate the tutelage. Never mind, I figured it out!!! YAY ME!

Here are a few of the Instagram pictures I took of the snow storm, my mom being serenaded on her birthday by the chef at Macaroni Grill, and the gorgeous sun rise I was greeted with on this beautiful Good Friday...enjoy

UP THE DRIVE...

FRONT YARD...this is not color splashed...it was almost a black and white day, the gazing ball being the only color in the yard

THE WOODS OUT OUR BEDROOM DOOR...

"MY CHERIE AMOUR"...

GOOD FRIDAY SUNRISE...

So the plan for today is to stay under 30 net carbs, drink plenty of water, and get some exercise. It is BBQ day, so we will be firing up the charcoal grill. I think I see some ribs in my immediate future along with some brats, chicken, pork chops, bacon wrapped jalapenos, and grilled brussels sprouts! MMMM...and that will provide us with meat for lunches for the next week as well as tonight's dinner.

Well, that's all the news that's fit to print from my corner...hope all is well in yours!

TTFN!

~Stef~

When I was a kid, I remember wondering why today is called "Good" Friday when our Savior died. I would go to church on Good Friday and it was similar to a funeral... everyone had candles and the alter was cloaked in black. Very somber and sad. Not "good" or happy. It should be called "Sad Friday". Growing up, my Pastor always said he felt that Easter should be much more celebrated than Christmas. I agree. Wishing you and your family a Happy Easter weekend, Stef! Thanks for sharing the lovely pictures. (I LOVE SNOW!) And you are a strong woman... show that kettle bell who's boss! :)

Holly, I thought the same thing and so spoke to my pastor about just that thing....I asked him how we can call the celebration of such a horrific act, GOOD. This was his reply...it is called GOOD because it was the fulfillment of a promise made by God and fullfilled by His son. Through His sacrifice we are saved and that is GOOD. So although the thought of what they did to Christ is so sad and so despicable, it was the culmination of what He had been sent to do, and thus it was GOOD in the eyes of God. I often think of poor Judas (I know so many are going to say "POOR JUDAS????"), but yes, poor Judas. Someone HAD to betray Christ in order for mankind to be saved. Can you imagine having God place that burden on your shoulders? Imagine what he must have felt as he watched Christ suffering on the cross for all our sins, knowing that he was the one who betrayed Him, just as Christ had said He would and must do in order to save the rest of us. As Christ breathed His last, He said "tetelestai...", it is finished. Jesus had done what the Father asked and it was finished. And by doing so He saved my sorry butt! Hope you have a great Easter, Holly. I, too, love the snow. And I intend to show that kettle bell a thing or two! LOL HUGS!!

Laurie, those were during the storm...it was 60 and sunny today and most of the snow is gone. There is some still lying around though and the Native Americans always said that means it's waiting for more, according to my Grammy! lol I do know that they are saying we could get more come Monday...we shall see. I will say this has been the strangest winter I have ever experienced. Have a blesses Easter my sweet sister/friend! HUGS! Oh and thanks, I was really excited about finally getting that darned kettle bell workout in...:)

Lizzy, I think the lupus monster may be locked up again...at least I hope so. I feel better than I have in so long, that I had forgotten how it felt to feel this good. The snow is mostly all melted...those pictures are from last Sunday. Today has been 60 and sunny...next Monday it may snow again...NUTS!!! I have a kettle bell workout DVD that came with my first kettle bell. It is very basic, is short enough that I can do it, and it kicks my butt!! Have a great evening!
