My surgery date is getting closer and I'm just now starting to get nervous about it. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. It will be nice to have some help with the weight loss journey. I seem to hit a lot of plateaus recently, but I've also not been sticking to the caloric intake they want me to. I feel hungry more than like to when I eat 1400 calories. Having a smaller stomach will help with that. I'm told that your taste buds change after surgery and I'm hoping I lose my desire for sugar. It sure would make it much easier if I did.

Diet Calendar Entry for 27 March 2013:

I hope it goes well! it is NOT a cure. most important is to be honest with yourself. I looked at your diet calendar. I didn't see much lean protein, are you allowed that or just bars? it's the surgery reversible if you want?

I hope all goes well for you. I would suggest that you do add more lean protein and less carbs as protein will help you stay fuller longer. Remember, the surgery is a tool. You need to change what your thought patterns are where food is concerned.

The 2nd best decision I have made. I feel full all the time, but the crap that life hits you with doesn't go away. find positive mechanisms (Habits) to overcome those moments. Praying for you and so proud of you.
