I haven't recorded an entry for a long time, but I've been making an effort the last few weeks to become healthier. Today is monday, so I'll be going to the gym tonight, but I started going to the gym two weeks ago. I went on Wednesday and Thursday my first week, and then i decided last week to go on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights. I kept that promise last week, going all 4 times. I go and do cardio for 20 minutes - 40 minutes depending on the intensity and then I lift weights to keep my heart rate up and get stronger as well.

In addition to the exercise routine, I've started a diet of eating healthier and in smaller portions as well. The week before last I was simply trying portion control, and for the last week I've been eating very healthy with smaller portions. I've been eating oatmeal with bananas, egg sandwichs on whole wheat bread, yogurt, grilled chicken breast with brown rice, and then small portions with minimal rice at house dinners.

I noticed last week that for the first time I could comfortably close my jean jacket I got for Christmas, and then today I tried on the blue jeans I've had since summer than just haven't fit me comfortably at all. They fit, and they fit comfortably. I feel like I'm making progress; I see an improvement in how my body looks. I haven't noticed anything in my face yet, but maybe I'm just not aware of it because I see it everyday.

I also bought some supplements last week to aid in my weight loss. I bought Yohimbine HCL and Green Tea extract pills to help in boosting my metabolism and suppressing appetite, and also boosting my energy levels overall. I'm really hoping these help out in my goal to be fit by the end of summer.
