I've returned from my journey into the woods. I went with an agenda...items that I felt needed resolution. I found that I ditched my agenda and just let the peace and serenity of the place seep deep into my bones. It was the best thing I ever have done. I read alot and wrote alot. I feel so much better after taking time for myself. I learned that we all need to make our choices based on what we love...not based on just what we can handle. Each right choice plants a seed of well-being. Those seeds accumulate and then germinate and bear the fruit of good self-esteem. We all suffer with various levels of low-self esteem...we wouldn't be trying to find comfort with excess food if we did not. Begin to build yourself up today. Make good, healthy choices. A life that becomes full (without stuffing ourselves with food) is made of moments chosen carefully. Give some thought to yourself today. Do what is right for YOU. It's OK to get some extra rest - or to leave the dishes until later - or to take a walk around the block - or to take a long, relaxing bath - or to simply say NO to another request. Love yourself. Eat healthy and be proud of who you are today. Choose what would be good for YOU - hence choosing to love yourself. I know...it's uncomfortable to be so 'selfish'. I have those same thoughts. But do it. Just for today and feel good about who/what you are. A miracle of creation. Yeah....YOU!! Sending you all good vibes.
