flagchic's Journal, 23 March 2013

Thanks, everybody, for the hearty "Welcome Back" motivation. I've been purposely avoiding this website for over a month because I knew if I went on, I'd have to weigh myself and face the consequences of my lifestyle for the last several weeks.

I'm honestly not sure what's been going on with me. I've been at such a motivation stand still. I just finished reading my journal here from the beginning in an attempt to get that old spark back, and I'm feeling re-charged.

A good thing:I celebrated my 25th birthday a week ago. I weigh less than I did when I was 16.

I've pondered on this quite a bit. Maybe it's the compliments that got me off track. At a 60+ weight loss, it's a bit obvious that I look differently. I began getting compliments from anybody and everybody I've ever known and seen. Maybe I took this as a sign that my work is done. I need to keep myself in line. I'm not done. This is a lifestyle choice, not something semi-permanent. I can't binge for weeks and assume I'll weigh the same and feel the same. I don't. I feel horrible, and I can literally see the belly bloat.

Now that the weather is becoming nicer and the sun is rising earlier, I'm going to attempt morning workouts again. I just need to get the workouts done early.

I'm hoping everybody is having a lovely Saturday as I sit here at work :)

We all get tired of doing the thing that's good for us it's just nature to want to be naughty sometimes. Stop kicking yourself, I've been trying to get back in the grove since Jan and its hit and miss I'm either good with food or exercise but I'll get there and you will too.

When I broke through the 100 pound mark I slacked, still lost but slacked. My body adjusted and it began t happen again. The best way to regain focus is to go back to the reason you started on this journey. The ultimate goal is what? When you stepped on the scle and saw the # go up; how did you feel? Remember it. not to beat yourself up with it, but to remember how you felt. You need to remember though, you are so much more than that # and the way you feel. We are made for so much more than to dwell only on what we consume. We have to be able to live. Journaling and healthy eating and exercise, are just tools to be able to live more. You'll be back on track and understand that it is a part of growing to be the best you, you can be! Glad you're back on here.
