NoQuarter19's Journal, 23 March 2013

The more I weigh myself, the more fluctuation I notice. Yesterday I was at 321.8, but it was after work, so presumably it was a lot of water weight lost. When I remember, I weigh myself in the morning after using the restroom to get a "true" weight. I just need to remember to keep being as active as possible, stick to my RDI, and to not get too discouraged if my weight fluctuates upward or hopeful when it fluctuates downward.
324.4 lb Lost so far: 1.6 lb.    Still to go: 24.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I try not to weigh a lot simply because there is so much fluctuation. Try taping yourself, and then re-tape ever month. And try not to weigh more then once a week too. Keep up the good work! And some people may call it cheating, but I only record my weigh in when it goes down! You have to find mental tricks that work for you!

I haven't done any measurements, but I would have to agree with you. Every pound I lose, I find it again. But my jeans are fitting so much looser. That is what keeps me going. That, and my energy has increased.

It's important to have NSV (non-scale victories) because getting into a healthy lifestyle is as much a mental thing as it is physical. I have been stalled on the scale for a little while now, but I know I am still moving in the right direction. Old cloths are fitting again, my current items are still getting baggier, I’m losing inches, body fat % is dropping, and most importantly my medical numbers keep improving. I was pre-diabetic when I started, and I was scared because there are a lot of health related problems in my family due to being overweight. Just remember why you started this journey, and remember it’s a journey for life and not to let the day to day get you down!

I find the best day/time to weigh in is first thing in the morning, sans clothes, on Friday (before the weekend hits). I'm usually very good about what I'm eating during the week... not so good on weekends. Thus, Friday is the lowest my weight weight will be all week.

That's funny, I do exactly the same thing! Thing is I am great at work, lots of water eat good no junk and I tend to walk a lot at work too. Weekends - I don't want to do anything thing! So I eat more convenience or fast food, and I lounge and sleep all day!
