CollyMP's Journal, 22 March 2013

Well I did alright-apparently my "bounce" is just turning into "staying the same weight for a couple of days". This is major cool on so many levels! I did go over last night-couldn't sleep, knee was hurting, irritated with a couple of people (online friends that live in another country so really shouldn't get myself so worked up-it's not like anything they say has any effect whatsoever on my life). Anyway-made myself a big salad, then dug in the fridge for the leftover chicken and at that too. On a slice of bread. I'd have been okay without the last bit of chicken and bread. Ah well-weight was the same this morning, so clearly those few "extra" calories, plus the fact that this is only the second time I've even eaten all the calories I'm allowed in a day, didn't really have any effect at all. (for that matter-adding both incidents my going over has yet to total 100 calories)

Being accountable to a food diary really does curb my chomping and grazing! It also points out to me that my appetite is a lot smaller than my mind would like me to think. Still trying to get past "but what if I get hungry?" Well, what if I DO? LOL-I'll eat something! It's become obvious that the likelihood of going hungry on my calorie allowance is pretty small.

My knees are KILLING me! GAH! It's been all I could do the last couple of days to get basic household stuff done and food made. Dunno how DH does it, he's up and down stairs all day and walks all over the huge building he works in. His knees aren't exactly in tip-top condition either, after 20 years of combat boots.

Well it's almost the weekend, my wee woodchucks, so I shan't be on here much longer and won't "see" much of you until Monday. I must nag the offspring to do some work on a long term project, and read a couple of chapters of a book for another project he's supposed to work on next week, and then he'll be taking over my computer again. Oh, and laundry-I must remind him of this duty. I love that he's old enough to do his own, and does! I just have to remember that I need to leave the washer and dryer empty for him.

I'm sorry your knees are hurting you so much. You're right about the food diary. It does hold you accountable and knowing this you tend to not graze as much as you would in the past and candy and sweets aren't as much of a problem. Chris, get to work sweetie. Help mom since she's in so much pain. I'm the same about being on here on the weekends. The trip to Texas tomorrow and being a lazy veggie on Sunday doesn't condone being online. LOVE YOU!!!

Candy and sweets aren't really much of a problem for me-crackers and chips and cheese and pretty much anything salty, chewy and crunchy? Oh yeah, big problem! What I need to do this weekend is look into some way of getting a surface set up so I can cut out clothes-I've been doing that on the floor and I can get something just about half cut out before my knees won't let me sit on the floor any longer. BTW-Yoda cat loves everyone here, so any typos made are entirely his fault, he's strolling around my keyboard, purring and rubbing.
