I am on day 34 of my juice fast. I have lost 32 pounds. Monday the 25th I will break my fast at Passover. At sundown I will eat my first meal. I am excited & yet scared to. It has been so long since I have ate real food. My body is so use to drinking it's meals. I'm not for sure how my body is going to react to solid food. I am going to take it slowly. I will have fresh veggie juice on hand in case I start to feel sick. I am going to eat a piece of fruit at first to see how I do. Them later on I will eat some grilled sockeye salmon & some mustard & collard greens. I will also have some oven roasted broccoli with fresh basil & thyme. A little of baked sweet potatoes with fresh rosemary. I doubt I will be able to eat all of this but it is part of my Passover meal for me & my family. I will also have some chicken curry & for dessert a fresh fruit tart but instead of cream cheese as the filling I am doing a fresh vegan lemon custard filling. I will probably only be able to take a couple of bites & be full. I am so full on just drinking 3 juices a day. I hope everyone keeps up the hard work. Let's get healthy together. I am teaching myself that healthy looks better than being skinny. That has helped me out a lot. There are days that I get frustrated that the scale is not moving but then I remember this & it makes me push even harder in my workouts. I have been doing so much research on clean eating & one thing I found out is that when your body plateaus it doesn't mean that your body isn't working. For people who are obese and more your body will plateau it is trying to get rid of the visceral fat that is around the heart & your other major organs. The body is also restructuring the fat around in your body. Moving to other places so it can be burned up more easily. I never knew that. So now I am not as frustrated when the scale doesn't move for a couple of days. I know my body is getting healthy from the inside. I hope everyone has a great weekend & keep striving to get healthy. Sorry the journal was so long I just finally get how the body works & how certain foods help it & why. To me my eyes are just opening for the first time & it is so exciting.
