PRETTY GOOD THURSDAY!

I am feeling better and better with each passing day. I spent the morning answering journal comments and visiting some buddies after a nice breakfast of bacon and eggs. I was in the process of downloading some talking books for hubby, when my phone rang and it was my youngest, Jacob. He was very ill and asked me if I would take him to the ER. So we spent the afternoon at the hospital. He had been to the doctor on Monday and has a sinus infection which was being treated with antibiotics. He now has a viral upper respiratory infection and has been told to take the next 2 days off and rest. I ran by the grocery store and picked him up some soup, crackers, a decongestant, and a thermometer. Then I took him back home and told him to lie down and rest.

I ran back home and picked up Dan and we ran to the grocery store for tomatoes and sour cream, as I had forgotten them and we wanted taco salad for dinner. The taco salad was awesome, even without any chips. I made some homemade guacamole for the salad, had hamburger with taco seasoning, tomato, cheese, sour cream, and ranch dressing on it. It was delicious, and at the end of the day, I was under 1600 calories and 20 total grams of carbs. I am NOT hungry! lol

Didn't have much exercise with the exception of walking in the hospital and the store, but ended up at nearly 6000 steps for the day. YAY ME!

So, all in all, not to bad!

We are expecting a huge snow storm this weekend, with 12+ inches possible. Crazy, but I think this is probably winter's last hurrah. Next week is mom and my oldest son's birthday. Mom will be 75 and Nathan will be 28. Where did the years go?

Well, that's about all the news that's fit to print from my corner...hope all is well in yours!

TTFN!!

Plans are there to be changed, it happens to me all the time. But I hope your son is better soon. So do you wear a pedometer all the time? I never thought about it, although I think I actually got one. 12 inches? Brrrrr....that is a lot. I haven't seen that much in years! LOL, but if thats what its take to stop the winter shenanigans..... Keep warm & save. Have a good weekend!

Erika, I feel so much better and I am so glad! It's been a long winter and I have been sick for so much of it, that I am ready for it to be done...although I sure do love the snow. Supper was delish! Have a great weekend! :)

schmetterling, yes plans are there to be changed and I was so glad I could help my son, he is always right there when I need help. I do wear a pedometer all the time. I have a Fitbit that tracks my steps, stairs climbed, calories burned, and how active I am. I really like it. You have a great weekend as well! We will be hunkered down watching the snow! :)
