Well I do WW which allows you eat a well balanced diet that focuses on lean protein, lean dairy, fruits and veggies. But you can find a good caloric intake that will help you lose so you can make recipes and and keep it interesting. Measuring cups and a food scale are great tools to help you lose weight. You would not believe how much more we eat than we are supposed to. There are lot's of plans out there that can help you lose. Planning out meals can help. Some good sites are: Cookinglight.com, Emilybites.com, Skinnykitchen.com, Slenderkitchen.com and Skinnytaste.com They have Weight Watcher points, but you can use the nutritional info for calories. All kinds of breakfast, lunch, dinner and appetizer options. Good luck!

I've found that the more food I have in my pantry, the harder it is to diet. The only thing that works for me is loading up on fridge-only foods...fruits, veggies, proteins, etc. I do cook alot of quinoa and garbanzo beans, but mostly its fridge only. Stay strong!

Move more. Even if you have children and can't go out to work out you can work out at home. I use to march around, dance silly, do jumping jacks and other activities my children could do with me. Also, make a plate of food and just eat half. Do that enough and you will get use to visually and mentally accepting less food. Good luck!
