That squash sounds really yummy. I don't know that I have ever seen that here, at least not cooked that way but there are kinds of squash similar to butternut so I must try that when the season comes around. I remember you mentioned being from Canada. I often compare things here to the US because I am originally from Vermont and go back as often as I can (which with the price of flying the way it is, is not half as often as I would like) and my mother, who lives with us now, also goes back and forth. What part of Canada are you from? I have only ever been to Montreal and Vancouver but my parents once took a train trip all the way across to Alaska and said the whole country was gorgeous.

It is yummy. The other squashes can't be scraped the same to come out in strands but maybe you will find it. The cheesy spaghetti squash recipe in this sites cookbook is cubed so I am sure any squash could be used. Were you born in Vermont? I am from Ottawa area, not too far from Montreal. My dad did a train trip across Canada when he was alive and enjoyed it very much. I have been to Vancouver, Victoria Island, Quebec, Alberta and Nova Scotia. I think our country is beautiful too, thanks for saying your parents liked it too. Where in Italy are you from? I know you said the Northern part. Some day I would love to visit some countries in Europe. Have a great day.

I was born in Brattleboro, VT - it is down in the lower right-hand corner, on the Connecticut river. To me, it is still home. Once a Vermonter always a Vermonter I guess! My father was Italian and was from the province of Treviso, in the Veneto region. We lived not far from Venice and now I live even further up, near the city of Trento, not far from the border with Austria. It looks a lot like Vermont, actually, though the Dolomites are higher than our little old Green Mountains. Pretty much any country in Europe is well worth a visit - with the possible exception of Belgium, I hear. Though Brussels is supposed to be interesting. I loved Scotland when we went but of course I am biased, since my US half is Scots.

Very nice, I bet you miss it sometimes but nice your mom is with you. Your home area sounds beautiful, nice it reminds you of home. I am French and Irish with a little German from my mom's side and I would love to go to France near the Swiss border that is where my dad's grandfather was from, his grandmother and my mom's grandparents were from Ireland so I would love to go there too. Right now we spend a little time in Florida during the winter, which we love but some day when my sister retires we will go to Europe, my hubbie doesn't want to so can't go with him. How is all the life style changes going for you? We are starting tai chi and swimming next week and will walk more in the good weather. I know I need to exercise more. Have a great day!
