I got my cast off today. After only two weeks. The doctor looked at the xrays today and said that the bones are heeling well. She gave me the option of one more week but I'd rather not weaken my wrist any more than needed. I'd rather start strengthening it up.
I'm still on softer foods for now but my jaw was better today than it has been . I've been using pain as an excuse to go out drinking beer. And eating high carb foods because they are soft. I need to stop doing both of those things. So, I joined a new challenge to keep carbs under 30g a day. I'll be back on to tracking everything every day.
I also added an app to my phone for the C25K. I'm not quite ready to start yet but have it for when I am. First I'll be doing a 20 minute walk 3x a week for the next 2 weeks. Tuesday & Thursday mornings are gym days. Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays are 20 minute walk days.

Nope - whiskey (and cigarettes) got me into this mess. I would have been fine with just a beer. Except there are a lot of carbs in beer so I was avoiding it.

Hope you know I was trying to cheer you up with my above comment. I actually came back to see if I could change it before you saw it because I was afraid you'd think it came off as judgmental - and that was not what I was intending! I also wanted to add that I am glad you are healing so nicely. Catch you later!

C25K = Couch to 5K The program starts off with some jogginf mixed with walking and slowly gets you to jogging 5k. Many people end up doing some of the weeks longer than just one week. It is up to you how long you take to get to the 5k but it looks doable if you stick with it.
