Let me tell you what I did. I put a small notebook in my pocket and logged everything I ate for about 2 weeks. I did not change anything on what I ate during this time. Then I started making better choices like eating chicken or fish and even a salad or two and logged it down for about 2 weeks. This let me see that with a few good choices I could cut it down with little effort. It also lets you see that you can still have anything you from time to time and considering moderation. I know that i have the motivation so that helps but I have found all kinds of things that are low calories and still has a good taste.

That's a good idea because I have starved all day and then realized now that I only used about half of my calories that it has given me for the day. I am so proud of you for not drinking dr pepper. I haven't had one all day and am about to die!!!

I think I finaly hit the mark. I have 400 calories for breakfast. I take 1000 calories to work with me and have about 500 for lunch and about 200 for a morning snake and 200 for an afternoon snack. This leaves a 100 calories just in case I get hungry early. Then i can have 600 to 800 for dinner. Now this is for my recomended 2200 calories a day, figured for a 2lb loss a week. You can hit differnt sites to figure your calories because this site only does 1lb per week.

I can make myself not eat very much during the day but when I get home, watch out. If I see it I want to eat it! I need to find the mixture of what to eat when. I calculated my calories for the one pound a week.

I have the same issue. Its because we get in the habit of eating and waching TV, eating and playing on the computer or eating and reading. We have to break the habit. I have learned that it takes three parts to make a habit: Knowledge, Skill and Motivation. We have the knowledge because we learn from studying how to lose weight. We have the motivation because we want to lose weight. So now we need to stay motivated and push through to build the skills. Forgive me I am not trying to be Dr. Phill. I play my PSP to keep my hands busy when waching TV before bed. It also helps keep my mind from thinking about food because I am trying to do two things at once. It took me months to get to the point I am at so don't get discouraged and keep up the good work.
