I feel like i'm doing pretty well with the food journal now and am really trying to stick to the ratio of 45% carbs, 25% fat & 30% protien. I'm also managing to stay pretty close to my allowance of 1200 calories a day.

These figures are just the ones that i have found from looking into what works for the contestants on the biggest loser tv programme. Obviously i'm looking to lose the weight at a slower rate and just get back to my pre pregnancy weight of 11 stone before i try for my eventual target of 10st 5lb.

I find the tools on this website fantastic and have been telling anyone i know who is also trying to lose a little weight. Finally my husband has decided to try aswell which is a little tricky as i'm now having to work everything out for him as well as myself. As long as it stops him from doing the quick fix fad diets that never work then it'll be worth it. I keep telling him that slow and steady is the best way to lose weight. I've lost 24lbs to date since i started dieting at the beginning of May 2010 so i'm really happy with that. Its now the final few weeks before we go on holiday so i'm doing my best to stay focused and shift another 6lbs before we go. I'm also packing all my aerobics gear so i can keep up the circuit training while away.

Heres hoping that my dedication pays off this week and i'll get a weigh in of 12st 4lbs on Friday.
